I don't drink so.

I guess the fact that I don't drink alcohol - except extremely rarely - is just another way in which I am socially maladjusted.

It's not a big deal. At least I don't think it is. But it's just... most adults drink.

I'm too hungry to write this properly.
Point is... I guess I don't have a point.
Never mind!

Pat, I don't drink. My malady is such that my alcohol tolerance is so low that I went out to dinner with my mother last weekend, had not even a complete glass of wine with a large meal and ... was totally drunk for the next half hour.

I don't really like alcohol, and I don't like its effects. I don't like being in a chemically altered state, generally.

I have wondered if this means there's something wrong with me, since it seems like people like to get drunk. Especially my cousins. Gaaahh!

I'm cool with who I am.

I know lots of people who don't drink. It seems terribly unusual but it really, really isn't.

I don't drink either!

Well, sometimes I do try. The night almost always ends with vomit.

Dude, there is nothing wrong with this. (Although you are always going to find some well-meaning people who think you can't be having fun while not drinking.)

Several of the people at my WD party didn't drink (Mike, Dave and Andy, among others), and they were able to have just as much fun as the rest of us, playing the drinking games with non-alcoholic beverages and taking full advantage of us drunkies while they were at it.

Incidentally, I used to be near teetotal for many years and enjoyed that too - I felt no need to justify my lack of interest in alcohol.
