We've fallen behind a bit in our challenge, this month was just not nearly as active as it should have been to stay on track. Hopefully April is more gamified. That being said, we did play SOME games this month...
16. Chess (avg score, 10. It's chess.) - I really thought I had this one, but, nope. Steph won again. Was a good game, though.
17. Chick-a-pig (avg score 8) - Another strategy game, with a handful of luck thrown in. You have to arrange to get your pigs off the board, they move essentially like rooks in chess - they can move as many spaces in a horizontal or vertical direction until they run into another pig, a hay bale, or a cow (or the edge of the board). Hay bales move like kings (just one space in any direction). And the cow moves like a teleporting king, whenever a 1 is rolled. The cow also leaves poop spaces behind, which, if your pig moves thru one, results in a penalty of some sort. Pretty fun little game, with a nice bit of silliness included in it.
18. Dos (avg score 6) - Uno's slightly more sophisticated cousin, maybe? It's Uno, but a little more complicated. Once we got into the rhythm of how to play, though, it became easier. You match colors or numbers on the cards face up, and if you can't, you draw another card. Pretty fun time-filler game, and we should play it more in the future.
19. Dragonwood (avg score 6.5) - Card and dice game (so a LOT of luck involved) where you have to draw cards that allow you to roll dice to collect monsters with points on them. Not a horrible game, just aimed at a younger demographic, I think, and not really anything that made this a standout game for me. It's perfectly acceptable, just don't think it would ever be somethng that would be my first pick if we were going to have a game night.
